We all have studied quadratic equations in our high school and colleges in math subjects. We have learned the formula and tried finding the right answers for the equations. But have you ever tried to ask the ultimate devil question “WHY” are we learning it, and how will it help our daily lives?

So let’s learn and see how we can apply the simple quadratic equations we learned in school in real life and was it worth spending our life’s time and energy on that.

The Parabolic Trajectory of Projectiles

One of the most practical applications of quadratic equations is understanding projectile trajectories. When an object is launched into the air, it follows a curved path called a parabola. Using quadratic equations, we can accurately predict the height, distance, and flight time for projectiles such as cannonballs, missiles, or even sports balls like basketballs and soccer balls.
